Happy New Year

Isn’t it crazy how fast time goes by??

Psalms 144:4
“Man is like a breath: his life is like a shade which is quickly gone.”
List some of your major accomplishments last year.

When you think about all your accomplishments, and think that you spent ALL last year to achieve them, can you honestly say “it was a good year”?

When you really think about it: What is truly important?

What were some of your disappointments last year?

What are your hopes and dreams for this new year? What is the most important thing that you hope will be different a year from now?

How easy will it be to miss out on your hopes and dreams? Do you realize that this year is ALREADY 3% over!

What is a “resolution of eternal significance”??

“Man is like a breath: his life is like a shade which is quickly gone.”
David was not wrong about this: we need to make every moment count!

Challenge for this week:
Dare to be different! Make a public decision (one that your friends know about) that has eternal significance — a decision or action that will contribute to your hopes and dreams for this year.
What are some ideas?

Putting it into practice:

Divide into teams and write and act-out a skit about the day-to-day decisions and peer pressure that you deal with. In the skit show how you are an overcomer by making a “resolution of eternal significance” that will lead to your hopes and dreams for this year.
