How to shape our destiny

Have a goal.
We must have a goal or a dream of what we would like our future to be like.
Five or ten years from now, what would we like to see happening in our lives?
Consider the following questions:
A. What can we do today, this month, this year that would help in changing our future? (Proverbs 27:12; Proverbs 16:3,9.)
Is there a habit in our lives that is hindering us from becoming all we can be?
Is there a course or seminar, a training class, a lesson, or an action we should take to help us move from this level of our lives to the next?
Is there a person or persons we should meet or get to know who will be a positive influence and help us redirect our lives.
There are appropriate actions at appropriate times.
4. Use God’s standards: The Word of God.
Meditate
Discipline ourselves to meditate on things that matter in life.
Concentrate our efforts on those things that count.
Invest our available resources where they will be more productive.
Do not major in minor things.
Walk in the plans of God.
Expand our lives by learning new things, growing in new areas and friendships.
Increase our knowledge. Be innovative, creative.
Conditions do not matter.
Follow through.
Thing long-term.
Avoid short-term gratification.
This too shall pass
Failure, obstacles or adversities are not permanent.
Be willing to change.
Have a plan.
Protect the mind.
Taking action
When we make a decision, that decision has to be followed by action.
It is our actions, not mere word.
That makes our decision powerful.
Every action we take produces either a positive or negative result.
We reap what we sow.
If we want to change our life, we must take actions that will produce the kind of results we deserve.
Different actions produce different results.
We can become what we want by paying the right price.
If we do not like what is going on in our lives, we need to stop what we are doing and start doing things differently.
We have learned that most things in life are attainable and possible if the proper price is.
Life is what we make of it.
